How Can We Have "9/11 Truth" If We Can't Even Be Told the Truth About Iraq???

These facts are indisputable:

1) the Iraq war was completely unnecessary

2) the war was based on false pretenses-- the Bush administration were set on going to war (see the Downing Street memo) and lied about the certainty of weapons of mass destruction ("There's simply no doubt that Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction"), and essentially everybody in power in Washington went along with it.

3) the war has been a mind-boggling human tragedy

4) the war has been incredibly expensive -- a horrendous waste of US money, and a great deal of money has been literally squandered by the Pentagon: given away to defense contractors, thrown away, stolen, used for god knows what

5) the insurgency was completely predictable, yet almost nothing was done to plan for an insurgency before the war

6) US intentions about long-term occupation of Iraq have been deliberately vague and no one has seriously questioned what the long-term strategy/plan/goal for the US in Iraq is

7) Iraq has incredibly crucial oil reserves, which must figure critically into US strategy

8) the war has either been horribly mismanaged or has been engineered to keep US troops occupied there for many many years (my guess is the latter)

All of these are basic facts about the war.

How often does any politican or the media talk openly about these key issues?

For the most part, they FUCKING LIE and cover up the truth.

JUST LIKE THEY DO WITH 9/11.

The New York Times admitted they parroted the lies of the government on Iraq. The war goes on. The Democrats are complicit - they drip blood.

Some Americans are still in a trance from watching the TV, but more and more people realize the Bush Regime has lied about everything that matters. The Democrats need to wake up and move faster and stop acting like Republican Clones. It's like they're a dumber version of Bush... they need to take action. Stop passing non-binding resolutions and end this madness!

I seriously think this country is so overwhelmed by all the lies, they are just "numb" now.

1) the Iraq war was completely unnecessary

Aren’t *all* wars completely unnecessary? Aren’t *all* wars “wars of choice”? Doesn’t *every nation* make a conscious decision to go to war when they do? Don’t *all nations* have the option of doing nothing and submitting to the political, military and economic will of another nation? Of course they do. That is why your opening statement is absurd.

2) the war was based on false pretenses

The “Downing Street memo” has been proven to be just what it is – nothing more than a interpretive document that the crazy left has interpreted to be some sort of smoking gun. The fact that it has died in the harsh light of day and exists now on the trash heap of history is fact enough of its true value.

3) the war has been a mind-boggling human tragedy

Duh. Aren’t *all wars* mind boggling human tragedies? However, I take issue with your sense of perspective. 72 million people died in World War 2. *THAT* is a mind-boggling human tragedy. Once again, your statement is absurd.

4) the war has been incredibly expensive

Welcome to 21st century warfare. After all, you think its cheap to build directed-energy weapons based in space and keep it a secret from the world?

5) the insurgency was completely predictable, yet almost nothing was done to plan for an insurgency before the war

Oh WAS it now? Quiet adept at jumping on bandwagon with your 20/20 hindsight glasses on, I see.

6) US intentions about long-term occupation of Iraq have been deliberately vague and no one has seriously questioned what the long-term strategy/plan/goal for the US in Iraq is

No one? Define “seriously questioned”. Someone other than the crazy-left? The GLOBAL economic engine runs on oil. That makes that region (blinding flash of the obvious to most people) one of the most important strategic areas on earth. Stability is the long term strategy/plan/goal – one that is not easy to obtain and won’t be achieved overnight, especially in light of those who would desire to control that GLOBAL economic engine fuel for religious purposes – namely Iran.

7) Iraq has incredibly crucial oil reserves, which must figure critically into US strategy

Another strategically brilliant insight from the crazy left. From 5 April:
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Despite claims by some critics that the Bush administration invaded Iraq to take control of its oil, the first contracts with major oil firms from Iraq's new government are likely to go not to U.S. companies, but rather to companies from China, India, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

8) the war has either been horribly mismanaged or has been engineered to keep US troops occupied there for many many years (my guess is the latter)

I guess we should have put you in charge of the war. THAT would have been worth watching.

Please, you're being ridiculous. You know damn well what I meant here.

The “Downing Street memo” has been proven to be just what it is – nothing more than a interpretive document that the crazy left has interpreted to be some sort of smoking gun. Dream on.

One would hope after all the wars of the 20th centruy, and especially Vietnam, the US would learn something.

5) the insurgency was completely predictable, yet almost nothing was done to plan for an insurgency before the war

Oh WAS it now? Quiet adept at jumping on bandwagon with your 20/20 hindsight glasses on, I see.

Of course it was. Saddam even said he was preparing an insurgency. Only the fucking neocons and their brainwashed followers believed that Iraqis would surrender and throw roses at the US.

6) US intentions about long-term occupation of Iraq have been deliberately vague and no one has seriously questioned what the long-term strategy/plan/goal for the US in Iraq is

So the war WAS about oil after all? And we'll stay in Iraq as long as there is oil?

A very superficial rebuttal to a complicated point.

8) the war has either been horribly mismanaged or has been engineered to keep US troops occupied there for many many years (my guess is the latter)

I guess we should have put you in charge of the war. THAT would have been worth watching.

I might have listened to generals who said that more troops would be needed, certainly. But really, I never would have started the fuckign thing in the first place.

Asshole.

What is mind-boggling is that anyone would try to defend the iraq war.

What a total motherfucker "anonymous@5:03am" must be.
