The Trump Follies, part 333

Trump, Putin, and ExxonMobil team up to destroy the planet
The aligning interests between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia’s choice for U.S. president (Donald Trump), and Big Oil represents the gravest threat to humanity (and democracy) since the rise of the Axis powers in the 1930s. That’s because while Trump may not be able to destroy global climate action and the landmark 2105 Paris climate deal all by himself — as he pledged to do during the campaign — he probably could do that with help from Russia and the trillion-dollar oil industry.
So much is explained by Trump’s Secretary of State choice. Media reports now say it will be Rex Tillerson, CEO of oil giant ExxonMobil, which had made a $500 billion oil deal with Putin that got blocked by sanctions. Stalling the biggest oil deal ever did not just “put Exxon at risk,” as the Wall Street Journal reported in 2014. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow explained last week this deal was so big it was “expected to change the historical trajectory of Russia.”

GEE, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE KEEP SAYING RUSSIA WANTED TO HELP TRUMP GET ELECTED.

IT'S JUST SO HARD TO FIGURE THAT ONE OUT.

THE CIA MUST BE LYING ABOUT RUSSIAN HACKING!

But the fact is, the hacking of documents in this election was MASSIVE and several independent groups concluded that Russia was behind much of the hacking.

Democrats were the main targets of the hacking, obviously helping Trump. Oh yeah, I'm not even sure I noted this here before, but on election day, Democratic Underground was HACKED, AND SHUT DOWN FOR OVER A WEEK. This was a site where Dem activists discussed the election and could note unusual goings on. what a coincidence this site went down on such an important day.

But as usual, by aligning themselves with a foreign power to sway the election, the Republicans committed TREASON to get themselves into power.

Putting the hacking and TREASON aside, overall, Trump's cabinet appointments are an insult to humanity-- a bunch of crackpots, rabid generals, plutocrats and Goldman Sachs bankers.

Some good clips here on the insanity of it all, although it really only scratches the surface:

This is a pretty awesome article:

Donald Trump Is Gaslighting America
The CIA officially determined that Russia intervened in our election, and President-elect Donald Trump dismissed the story as if it were a piece of fake news. "These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," his transition team wrote in a statement. "The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘Make America Great Again'."
It wasn't one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history, so presumably that's another red-herring lie to distract from Trump treating the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States like it is some rogue blogger to be cast to the trolls. A foreign government's interference in our election is a threat to our freedom, and the President-elect's attempt to undermine the American people's access to that information undermines the very foundation upon which this country was built. It's also nothing new.
Trump won the Presidency by gas light. His rise to power has awakened a force of bigotry by condoning and encouraging hatred, but also by normalizing deception. Civil rights are now on trial, though before we can fight to reassert the march toward equality, we must regain control of the truth. If that seems melodramatic, I would encourage you to dump a bucket of ice over your head while listening to “Duel of the Fates."
Donald Trump is our President now; it’s time to wake up. "Gas lighting" is a buzzy name for a terrifying strategy currently being used to weaken and blind the American electorate. We are collectively being treated like Bella Manningham in the 1938 Victorian thriller from which the term "gas light" takes its name. In the play, Jack terrorizes his wife Bella into questioning her reality by blaming her for mischievously misplacing household items which he systematically hides. Doubting whether her perspective can be trusted, Bella clings to a single shred of evidence: the dimming of the gas lights that accompanies the late night execution of Jack’s trickery. The wavering flame is the one thing that holds her conviction in place as she wriggles free of her captor’s control.
To gas light is to psychologically manipulate a person to the point where they question their own sanity, and that’s precisely what Trump is doing to this country.
He gained traction in the election by swearing off the lies of politicians, while constantly contradicting himself, often without bothering to conceal the conflicts within his own sound bites. He lied to us over and over again, then took all accusations of his falsehoods and spun them into evidence of bias. At the hands of Trump, facts have become interchangeable with opinions, blinding us into arguing amongst ourselves, as our very reality is called into question.
There is a long list of receipts when it comes to Trump's lies. With the help of PolitiFact, clear-cut examples of deception include Trump saying that he watched thousands of people cheering on 9/11 in Jersey City (police say there's no evidence of this), that the Mexican government forces immigrants into the U.S. (no evidence), that there are "30 or 34 million" immigrants in this country (there are 10 or 11 million), that he never supported the Iraq War (he told Howard Stern he did), that the unemployment rate is as high as "42 percent" (the highest reported rate is 16.4 percent), that the U.S. is the highest taxed country in the world (not true based on any metric of consideration), that crime is on the rise (it's falling, and has been for decades), and too many other things to list here because the whole tactic is to clog the drain with an indecipherable mass of toxic waste. The gas lighting part comes in when the fictions are disputed by the media, and Trump doubles down on his lies, before painting himself as a victim of unfair coverage, sometimes even threatening to revoke access.

"""These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction,"""

right, the CIA. and they killed JFK & RFK & John Lennon and tried to kill Reagan.

remember who showed phony images of a plane hitting the south tower (hezarkhani video)? CNN. remember who else showed different phony images of a plane hitting the south tower? ABC.

both of these "official medias" tried their damndest to demonize trump and get hillary elected - reason enough right there to vote against her, IMO.

so now we should believe them all when they say russia hacked the election? ridiculous. more likely that the DNC tried pretty hard to steal the election and failed despite all their documented efforts.

so when this "russia hacked the election" nonsense fails, what will be next?
"oh space aliens interfered with our election process"?

wrong. hillary lost because she is just another warmongering neocon self-serving crook, and the people saw right through her punk-ass. frankly, i think people would have voted for barney the dinosaur just to keep her out.

""Trump treating the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States like it is some rogue blogger to be cast to the trolls. A foreign government's interference in our election is a threat to our freedom, interference in our election is a threat to our freedom, ""

the only "interference in our election" was perpetrated right here in the U.S. by good old Uncle Schlomo himself, and his feeble attempts seem to have failed.
and didn't JFK himself threaten to "break up the CIA and scatter them to the wind"? shouldn't the CIA indeed be broken up and discarded?

oh and this:

""But as usual, by aligning themselves with a foreign power to sway the election, the Republicans committed TREASON to get themselves into power.""

where have you been all this time as our good old Uncle Schlomo (U.S. govt) has "aligned itself with a foreign power (israel) to sway the elections"?
hasn't that been an ongoing act of treason all this time?

"The hacking of documents in this election was MASSIVE and several independent groups concluded that Russia was behind much of the hacking."

What exactly are the claims made by the Putin-did-it stories? That were it not for Russian chicanery, Hillary Clinton would have won the popular vote by five million and not almost three million? That displaced machinists on the banks of Lake Erie were so incensed by the Podesta emails that they voted for Trump instead of Clinton? That Putin was pulling FBI director James Comey’s strings in his investigation of the Clinton emails? That those scheming Russians were clever enough to hack into voting machines but not clever enough to cover their tracks?

Georgia Finds 9 More DHS Attempts To Hack State Election System

The state of Georgia is asking President-elect Donald Trump to investigate what Georgia says are "failed cyber-attacks" on it's secretary of state's network that it traced to the federal Homeland Security Department.

http://tinyurl.com/jue74ef

wow if Russia had tried to hack the election i would totally be outraged and make a scene, but since it was the DHS, meh, A-OK no big deal.

ok if it was so massive and obvious why did they wait until hillary LOST before complaining?
and why is the EXPOSURE of secret DNC documents the issue and not the CONTENT of said alleged documents?
