Leahy Proposes 'Truth Commission' Probe of Bush Era
Leahy is a wimp. He must be up for re-election. His proposal will go exactly nowhere, I'm sorry to say.
Such a proposal needs a sponsor who has a reputation for consistency in action. Leahy is Reid, without the title. No one takes him seriously. Even Cheney got away with "bitch slapping" him on the floor of the Senate.
are any of them not wimps? does any proposals by any of them go anywhere? are any of them taken seriously? cheney not only got away with shooting his friend in the face, but his friend extended a public apology to cheney for that event.
"oh dick i am truly sorry that you shot me in the face!"
I doubt that anyone here is of the belief that when Spooked made known, in his modest way, that he supports Leahy's proposal, he did so in conjunction with an honest expectation that Leahy would be able to drive it out of the parking lot.

pathetic, and yet par for the course.
The FBI polygraphers will clean-up this mess.

To clarify-- I am saying yes to the proposal in principal and urging Leahy on. But I'm not expecting anything significant to happen.

ReplyDeleteThe writer is totally fair, and there is no question.
