Oliver Stone's Untold History of the US

I have not watched this yet but have heard about it.  Sounds like here he gets into some of the ugly truth about WWII.  I am posting in case anyone out there wants to watch it and comment on it before I have a chance.

UPDATE: So I watched this finally. It is actually just a fairly straight-forward overview of WWII. Nothing particularly controversial or deep here. It is good info, and a great synopsis of WWII. But nothing at all surprising or conspiracy-ish, sadly.

  1. We must be cautious about the gatekeeping Mr. Stone. Remember who financed his (Mossad-avoiding) JFK movie, and remember Stone's ineffectual (OCT-supporting) 9/11 movie.

  2. oh no doubt! But still, he touches on some taboo topics here, such as how dropping the atomic bombs on japan were totally unnecessary even from a military standpoint.

This is a powerful piece of work, for which Mr. Stone deserves to be very, very proud, and we should feel indebted to him.

Stone is quite obviously highly intelligent, has a fine, calm demeanor, and has given us a very interesting film.

Not exactly a H. Zinnian approach to history, but it's just as valuable.

All should watch this, all will profit from having done so.
