Predictions for the Next Year

-- Bush is not going to suspend the elections and declare martial law

-- There is not going to be martial law in the US in the near future for any reason

-- The election is not going to be rigged for John McCain

-- Obama is not going to be assassinated before the election

-- Obama will win the election handily

-- Republicans will go apeshit over everything President Obama does even if Obama does similar things to what Bush did that the Republicans previously praised

-- Republicans will become increasingly angry and bitter about everything in the country and will denounce every mainstream news outlet except Fox News.

-- Right-wing blogs will become increasingly ugly and difficult to read, even if they make some decent points about what President Obama is doing

-- Democrats will love everything President Obama does even if Obama does similar things to what Bush did that the Democrats previously criticized

-- The US will withdraw many troops from Iraq but still leave a large force there as "peacekeepers"

-- Huge numbers of Americans will lose a bundle as the stock market shakes off massive losses, most Americans will find life harder and harder as the economy turns more and more sour, giving Obama political room to make radical moves

... beyond this, too hard too predict...

But two other things I am pretty sure about:

1) no one in the Bush administration will be prosecuted for war crimes

2) 9/11 and other conspiracies will be completely ignored

Naomi Wolf freakout, or courageous warning.

I agree there has been a coup over the last 8 years, but I don't see the need for the PTB to do what she warns they are planning. Spooked's predictions seem more likely.
