LOS ALAMOS, N.M. - There is a new breed of weaponry fast approaching — and at the speed of light, no less. They are labeled "directed-energy weapons," and they may well signal a revolution in military hardware — perhaps more so than the atomic bomb.The technology is there, and no doubt it was there in September 2001.
Directed-energy weapons take the form of lasers, high-powered microwaves and particle beams. Their adoption for ground, air, sea, and space warfare depends not only on using the electromagnetic spectrum, but also upon favorable political and budgetary wavelengths too.

I fail to see what is "dumb" about that comment by Dr. Wood. It is logically correct.
Why do you think this makes her "dumb"?
The fact that she thinks a "beam-weapon" destroyed the WTC without a smidgen of evidence makes her dumb...
1) she does have evidence, if you would take the time to look at her paper. The strongest evidence is that the seismic signal was much lower than expected for the towers coming down, suggesting much of the steel was turned to dust. Whether the overall evidence is best explained by a beam weapon is another story, but she clearly has evidence.
2) even if it were true (which it isn't) that she didn't have a smidgen of evidence, that still doesn't make her "dumb", it just makes what her model very speculative

Can you find a single seismologist currently working for any university in the world who is willing to scientifically back that up?
the beam weapons are a little far-fetched, although the govt's been working on this "space weapon" technology for many years...
another possibility is the buildings were blown to kingdom come, primarily by underground mega-bombs, or mini-nukes...major seismic events were captured by Rick Siegel's video "9-11 Eyewitness"...the mega-bombs in conjunction with cutter charges would have taken those buildings down...WTC-7 wasn't even hit by a plane and it collapsed like a classic Controlled Demolition...Silverstein even admitted the building was "pulled"...watch America Rebuilds...there are also many clips at www.terrorize.dk and full length vids at www.question911.com

James B, what you don't understand is that there has been no explanation for how the buildings came down. That is what is crazy.
An alien laser beam from outer space is more likely than the theory presented in the NIST report. That, unlike the "global collapse ensued" leap of faith, at least cannot be ruled out.

Don't go saying I think aliens did it, by the way. There are more likely explanations. Is a directed energy weapon one of them? I don't know. I don't know either the theoretical potential of such weapons nor the actual state of development of such weapons. That such weapons are being developed is undeniable.

the way you so cleanly and adroitly have *profiles* of people in the S-11 movement is VERY suspicious...your blogs and profile lead me to think you're an operative/agent...or one to-be, perhaps after you graduate--spook agencies love your kind...the FEDS are known to have spooks on campus, that's nothing new...i'll say it again, a tactic of counter-intelligence is to bash and discredit activists and intellectuals...this seems the goal of yourself, sword of truth, and conspiracy smasher...
