Iraq: An Exercise in Deliberate Mismanagement

How else to explain this behaviour?
One of the people he had to impress was Feith, the Defense Department's number three official and a leading player in the clique of neoconservatives who had taken over the government's national security apparatus.

Lang went to see him, he recalled during a May 7 panel discussion at the University of the District of Columbia.

"He was sitting there munching a sandwich while he was talking to me," Lang recalled, "which I thought was remarkable in itself, but he also had these briefing papers -- they always had briefing papers, you know -- about me.

"He's looking at this stuff, and he says, 'I've heard of you. I heard of you.'

"He says, 'Is it really true that you really know the Arabs this well, and that you speak Arabic this well? Is that really true? Is that really true?'

"And I said, 'Yeah, that's really true.'

"That's too bad," Feith said.

The audience howled.

"That was the end of the interview," Lang said. "I'm not quite sure what he meant, but you can work it out."

UPDATE: Glenn Greenwald has other evidence for deliberate mismanagement in Iraq:
And Fred Kagan himself has acknowledged that he believes U.S. military strategy in Iraq -- including the "surge" which he personally designed -- must be developed "with the possibility of conflict with Iran ever on the horizon."

All of the super-serious and responsible pundits may be drowning in angst over the fact that we cannot leave Iraq because it is so very vital that, before we leave, we stabilize that country and turn it into a beacon of democracy, or at least avert even worse violence. But however laudable that goal might be, that is not the goal of the people controlling our actual strategy in Iraq. Stabilizing Iraq in order to leave is not what they are interested in.

What they seek -- by their own acknowledgment -- is a conflict with Iran and Syria, and they want to stay in Iraq because that is how that goal can be achieved.

How to spot a SHILL/SPOOK:
when you call them one, they don't respond, and if they DO respond, they say "you're a moron, etc"
BUT they don't provide ANY proof or statements PROVING they're NOT a SPOOK/SHILL...their mere silence after being OUTED as SPOOKS/SHILLS reveals them to be just that!!!
apply this formula and the BASTARDS will be revealed!!

re: deliberate mismanagement of the u.s. invasion/occupation of iraq -

remember during the early part of the invasion when u.s. forces discovered a huge stockpile (400+ tons?) of high explosives at al-qaa qaa and they simply threw the doors of the place wide and walked away from it allowing it to be fully looted thus ensuring that iraqi rebels had plenty of explosives to build their roadside explosive devices with!

by the way, my young nephew was blasted with such a device - he survived but others did not.

more mismanagement:
putting a young kid behind the wheel of an inadequately armored piece of shit humvee in the middle of a war zone.

evil mismanagement:
Juba The Sniper may be Israeli
watch the little clip of u.s. soldiers being picked off like sitting ducks by sniper action as filmed thru the eyes of an israeli sniper scope!

Who are they fooling here?

*building an embassy larger than the Vatican;
*building 14 permanent bases.

This war with Iraq was meant to last 'till eternity. Even stupid people can understand that if they only looked at the facts.

Of course there is deliberate mismanagement of this whole thing. No one is that stupid in the White House to mess this up so bad.

A divide and conquer once again.
