Bazant's Work Rests on Complete Baloney
This is in the intro to his 2001 paper-- and forms the basis for his subsequent analysis of the WTC destruction:

He SAYS because if it would fail symmetrically, it would definitely fail if there was an asymmetric collapse.
True, the building would "fail" with an asymmetric collapse-- but IT WOULD FAIL IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MANNER THAN IF A TOP SECTION OF BUILDING FALLS ONE STORY SYMMETRICALLY AT NEAR FREE FALL SPEED*!!!
If the building fails asymmetrically, it simply is NOT going to undergo complete symmetric collapse, as was seen.**
This, as shown in his paper, would NEVER happen:

Well the reason Bazant has papers ready to go by 9/13/01 is likely something like the following.
On say 8/11/01, Z.P. gets a phone call. His handler tells him to put the finishing touches on his papers that he was told to write previously—to go out two days after the planned 9/11/01 event. Z.P. is told that the nukes will be several along the vertical length of the towers at the cores (center area), and in the sub-basement. Outer structure will be “hit” with conventional explosives so as not to have stronger nukes needed that would give it all away. Z.P. is told it is planned to be “very symmetrical, so get that in the papers…Try to make it seem plausibe, Z.P. Throw in some pristine pancakes, that’s worked before, you know. We’ll get it published somewhere, don’t worry about the laws of physics, we’ve got a few journal editors under our control. Never mind entropy too, Z.P. And don’t worry about the 10 nanometer sized particles from nukes, we won’t let anyone find or publish any particle size less than 10 microns. We’ve got the people ready to alter the seismic records too, so don’t fret that either, Z.P. We’ve got grants, and collaborators, waiting for you. The govt commission will rely on your first papers, so make them seem plausible. By the way, Z.P., how are your kids?
