2nd Debate Thoughts

Obama is pretty smooth, basically unflappable, had good responses every time.

McCain did reasonably well for an old man-- he was fairly sharp. But I find McCain's voice unsettling: it's sort of a loser-ish whine.

Somehow I don't think McCain saying he's the steady hand on the tiller is a very effective line.

Tom Brokaw has an extremely odd manner of speaking, that can be very distracting-- he almost sounds like he's on drugs at times. It's hard to believe he is (still? I don't watch NBC nightly news) a major news anchor. His debate moderating was not particularly good either.

Overall, I don't this debate changed much and it still looks good for Obama.
