Economic Items From the H.E.O. Archives

About one year ago, the US national debt was 9 trillion (Bush started in 2000 with a 5.6 trillion dollar debt). Now, the US national debt is ten trillion. One trillion in new debt in the past year!

Back in March 2008, Paul Krugman presciently predicted the financial crisis would be a more important issue in the presidential election than Iraq.

it's actually around 50-60 trillion, because of all the *credit swaps* the financial institutions were doing...yep, 50-60 trillion, lol, saw it on PBS...
