Libertarianism
I never quite saw how it could possibly work as a practical form of government-- particularly if you have any social conscience-- but there's a fun discussion of it here.
I think the bigger question is-- what form of government would result in less abuse of power? What form of government would keep the military from exerting undue influence, and from organizing something like 9/11? Is it clear that a libertarian government would not eventually morph into some version of the monster we have now?
Moreover, absent some major revolution-- which just ain't gonna happen-- is there really any chance of replacing our current government with a libertarian one?
The question of course is moot for all practical purposes, as the major problem we have to deal with is the evil "powers that be"-- not choices in governing philosophy.
