Michelangeli Plays Bach-Busoni Chaconne in D minor
You must listen to this absolutely heroic performance of the great Bach Chaconne in D-minor (d-moll), BWV 1004:
(part 1 of 2)
I say this is heroic, because I just got the sheet music to this piece, and it is a horrifically difficult piece to play on the piano. It is also one of the most powerful Bach pieces I've ever heard. Admittedly, it's not really pure Bach, as Busoni has added many extra notes to create the piano version of this piece that was originally written by Bach for violin.
