High Speed Collision-- Mythbusters Experiment

This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen:



I imagine the car would be like the airplane hitting a steel and concrete tower. It's fucking obliterated-- as is the rocket sled. But basically, the effect is like a bomb going off, with debris spewing everywhere. Importantly, there is no delay before the explosion-- the explosion is simultaneous with the destruction.
