Does Voting Matter?

Well, if voting didn't matter, why is there so much attempt to suppress voting by Republicans?  Why rig the voting machines?

Elections do matter, and the PTB do fear a mobilized populist voting populace.

Along these lines, long-time Obama critic Cornel West has a good interview explaining why it is still better to vote for Obama than let Romney win.

A strong case can be made that voters
like Fascism. A strong case can also be made that most Americans support
liberal ideas ( as long as they aren't labeled as being liberal ideas).

Maybe it would be best if Romney wins
(fair and square). In 2016, a real liberal might then have a good shot at winning and pulling along with him/her enough liberals running for the House and Senate - to actually get liberal legislation passed.

Perhaps you haven't yet heard the decades-old story about how every newly inaugurated president since LBJ is given a special, private, high-resolution screening of the ORIGINAL version of the Zapruder film. (The version in which the limousine comes to a full stop just before the fatal headshot, from the front, is fired.)

Immediately afterwards the shocked, shocked chief executive/puppet is gently reminded by his "national security" advisors that "executive action" extinction will be his fate too IF he should ever become a "loose cannon" and try to resist the uber-powerful cabal -- who start every war, profit enormously from every war, and have lots more planned for the foreseeable future.

Anonymous-- I agree with you on the first part, not so much on the second. I fear Romney may well bring on the final solution for this country.

Andy-- I have heard that story. While it's likely apocryphal, it is probably not too far from what really happens either.

Romney's ties with voting machines makers raise alarms

Tagg Romney, the son of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, has purchased electronic voting machines that will be used in the 2012 elections in Ohio, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and Colorado.

Romney family buys voting machines through Bain Capital investment
