"CIA Assets"

In this video discussion between Jeff Gates and Ry Dawson, Gates raises an interesting issue-- the definition of a CIA asset. I hadn't really heard this before, but a CIA "asset" is not necessarily someone who works for (or is paid by) the agency, but rather is a known, defined quantity, that they have analyzed and figured out how they would react in most circumstances they are confronted by. The other issue is that I guess us "conspiracy theorists" don't think about so much is how intel types can game out plans and scenarios with these assets, and know how they will react under various contingencies, using a few agents/operatives acting as intermediaries, and the idea is that you can get people act in normal capabilities to carry out nasty deeds.

Examples are:
1) George Bush launching the invasion of Iraq after 9/11
2) a patsy to act as a suicide bomber
3) a patsy to try to hijack planes on 9/11

A few others:

Bill Clinton, Governor -- allowing
Barry Seal and others to land and offload cocaine at Mena airport.

GHWBush, Oilman --- allowing his company boats to smuggle arms and ammunition to anti-Castro Cubans.

Young Barry Obama --- going to Pakistan while it was illegal to travel to that country. Mission
still unknown.

It's interesting that many helpers
were so young. Such as Harvey lee
Oswald being sent to Russia.

Very interesting. Under this definition: federal agencies and their employees; media and their employees; and all citizens, including "conspiracy theorists" and other dissenters; all of these and many more, could all be "assets."
