In Case It Wasn't Clear In the Last Post

and it probably wasn't...

the idea is that planes had to get out of the sky so the WTC demolition crew could fire high energy beam weapons from the sky/space and not fry random planes flying nearby.

One interesting possibility is that the whole hijacked planes story was cooked up JUST IN ORDER TO HAVE AN EXCUSE TO GROUND ALL THE PLANES flying near Manhattan (and to make the story believable, they needed to ground all planes flying in the US, not just those flying near NYC).

But they tipped their hand by even grounding MILITARY and LAW ENFORCEMENT aircraft!

Yes, this is a "kooky" idea.

But on the other hand, it makes no sense that the FAA would ground MILITARY and LAW ENFORCEMENT aircraft in order to counter the hijackings of commercial jets!

Not to mention that they also tipped their hand by letting military aircraft back in the sky RIGHT AFTER the twin towers were destroyed.

ya that would've been too obvious if a plane suddenly went poof as it flew over a certain place at a certain time - like a moth flying over a barbeque.

i think that any directed high energy weapons would have to be ground based. high energy requires high energy such as a battle-ship or submarine's nuclear power plant or a ground-based power station.
i don't think a plane or a satellite could generate the power needed for poofing both towers almost instantly as was observed and recorded for posterity.

I thought it was clear what you meant, but I thought that you meant something else.

My understanding was that the planes were grounded in order to produce chaos at the airports. Assuming no planes actually crashed, there was a requirement to land four airliners without arousing suspicion. Under normal procedures, this would not be possible. Under conditions of mass emergency landing, this would be very easy to do using false transponder codes and call-signs.

I would imagine that planes would be landed at airports connected to federal or military facilities. This would make it easy to hide the aircraft on the ground.

Two obvious candidates are Cleveland, where NASA have facilities, and Johnstown-Cambria County Airport, where Air National Guard squadrons are based.

Finally, I would guess that at most two sites were involved, with two planes at each site. Any more would mean too much involvement. Four landings at a single site might be a bit suspicious.

Note that control towers at Johnstown, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland were evacuated that day.

those are good points. But why did they need to take military planes out of the sky as well? And why was it lifted right AFTER the towers came down?

we don't really know that "all planes were ordered to land."

anyway, think about this:
you can't power a TV tube with a 9v battery.

it is one thing to accept that there is existing technology that can deliver directed high energy, but it is quite another thing entirely to postulate that a satellite which draws it's power from solar panels or an airplane which would use an alternator/generator such as your car has could deliver enough energy to power a directed energy on the scale of that which destroyed the twin towers so completely and almost instantaneously.
that is why i say that it must be ground based.
otherwise we are talking about power supply technology that is so advanced it might as well be magic.
