Well...you've already declared your independence from logic and sensible thought. You have seceded from the realm of rational and cogent discussion about the real things in life. You have sequestered yourself behind a picket fence of absolute hilarity.

What else do you want?

anon @ 10:12 pm--

I'm sorry you feel that way, but the problem for you is that laughing at unusual ideas does not mean that the idea is wrong or that the logic is flawed. You seem to have an adolescent view of life-- where anything that deviates from the norm is automatically absurd and therefore unthinkable.

Please grow up.

dude, @ 10:12's comment is beyond laughable. please don't even dignify that shit with a response.

""only wish it were possible to really declare independence""

independence in this day and age can only be possible thru independent thinking.

I'm farting at you, which is actually a whole lot better than what you deserve.

The American "Revolution" was a revolution of the monied class, the bourgeois slaveowning planter class, and in the end where was the working person? No better off than they were under British rule, just oppressed by their own bourgeoisie instead of foreign aristocracy. Like the French "Revolution" it was something that had to happen, but also like that it should best be remembered as an intermediate stage, not the pinnacle of human development. Any "revolution" that leaves the working class and poor out in the cold like before isn't a real revolution at all.
