Military Looks More Towards Domestic Defense

Why the hell aren't we prepared to defend the "homeland" when we spend so goddamn much already on the military?:
(AP) Defense Secretary Robert Gates on Monday ordered his top department leaders to conduct a broad review to determine whether the military, National Guard and Reserve can adequately deal with domestic disasters and whether they have the training and equipment to defend the homeland.
Sound like this is more about preparing for martial law.

Gates's order may have something to do with the alleged terrorist threat to NYC's subway system that's currently
being touted in the corporate MSM.

Military "review" this time instead of a military "exercise".

ABSURD TO THE INSANE

Our U.S. Congress signs America's death warrant by the tens of thousands every month. While one in every six American children lives below the poverty line, Congress imports 200,000 immigrants every month that equal 2.4 million legal and illegal immigrants annually that need housing, medical care and education. While 28 million Americans subsist on food stamps, we host 20 million illegal aliens that displace jobs from those Americans without jobs. With 14 million Americans unemployed, our U.S. Congress outsources, insources and offshores jobs with incredible alacrity.
