Another Day, Another Two Obama Disappointments

Reprehensible item 1:
The White House is actively supporting a new bill jointly sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman -- called The Detainee Photographic Records Protection Act of 2009 -- that literally has no purpose other than to allow the government to suppress any "photograph taken between September 11, 2001 and January 22, 2009 relating to the treatment of individuals engaged, captured, or detained after September 11, 2001, by the Armed Forces of the United States in operations outside of the United States." As long as the Defense Secretary certifies -- with no review possible -- that disclosure would "endanger" American citizens or our troops, then the photographs can be suppressed even if FOIA requires disclosure. The certification lasts 3 years and can be renewed indefinitely. The Senate passed the bill as an amendment last week.

Reprehensible item 2:
Members of 9/11 victims’ families, who filed a lawsuit seeking to pin blame on the Saudi royal family for financing attacks against the United States, just acquired a significant new opponent: the Obama administration.

A Department of Justice brief (PDF link) filed with the Supreme Court on Friday argues that the Saudi royal family is party to a sovereign state and cannot be sued in American courts.

You lost me on item #2.

Since 9/11 was clearly an Inside Job, the Saudi's therefore had nothing to do with it...

The Global Ruling Elite like to promote these contradictions to bait the public. They are the Master Baiters.

Like getting on NORAD for not chasing no planes.

I'm not saying the Saudis did it, of course. But they are hardly innocent in this-- they supplied a bunch of the patsies-- and it is obscene that the Obama administration is defending this. The lawsuit might shed some light on al-CIA-duh, for instance.

I'll put it this way-- I don't think the Obama admin is coming down on the side of the Saudis in this case because they think the Saudis are wrongly accused about being involved with 9/11. Rather it seems clear the Obama folks are helping to cover up the role of the Saudis.

What "role"!??

Again you lose me. If there were no planes, then...

No planes = NO Saudi "Hijackers". Right?

So apart from being the fall guy (either witting or unwittingly) precisely what "role" did the Saudi's play?

The "role" of covering for the patsies.

Are you saying the Saudis were completely innocent in the complicated and multi-faceted plot of 9/11? You think Obama is trying to protect wrongly accused people here?

Robert, if there were no planes, as I am convinced is the case, the Saudis (and Pakistanis, NATO governments, Russia, Israel, Egyptians, Iranians, etc.) are well aware of that. As Spooked says, it is the Saudis that are covering the most for the patsies, which is pretty disgusting given that Arabs and Muslims are being blamed and killed as a result.
