Rebel Fighters Who Fled Attack May Now Be Active Elsewhere.

It was always clear, the way the US advertised its assault on Fallujah, that the smart insurgents would simply leave before the attack and carry on their business elsewhere.
Gaining "control" of Fallujah has some benefit to the US, but it is painfully obvious that it will not do anything significant to the insurgency. And how many people must die for this minor victory?
Not that people dying in Iraq means much to the Bush administration-- especially at this point.
