The Deep Politics of Watergate
A fascinating post by Jeff Wells.
I am still new to the conspiracy game, so it still amazes me how the "official version of events" belies a much more complicated and nasty truth. I have to wonder if the media knows all these deeper roots to these stories. If so, how do they keep the official version straight in their head? If not, they must be incredibly stupid. I suspect most real reporters do know something of the deeper truth but submerge it in their heads and keep the much simpler official version on the surface of their thoughts.
Additionally, I had no idea that there was something suspicious about the shooting of George Wallace. In fact, the shootings of JFK, RFK, MLK and Wallace, which all took place in the 60's, all had an amazing similarity with unexplainable shot trajectories and a hapless and dazed patsy that was presented to the media as the clear culprit. Moreover, the patsies all had some connection to US intelligence agents. The modus operandi for all these shootings is strikingly similar, as if they were all done out of the same playbook. That would actually make a great study-- to compare all these shootings side-by-side and figure out exactly what elements were similar and if any people were common to all the crimes. It might make a good book, assuming someone hasn't already done this.

Yes, that would make a great study. I actually was discussing it with a history major a few weeks ago.
