Various Items of Interest

Whew! So many interesting things out there these days worth posting. Here's a grab-bag of articles I thought were of interest:

Condi Rice involvement in the Plame scandal.

A new Paul Thompson timeline on hijacking exercises and the 9/11 wargames.

A good overview of air defense issues on 9/11.

Someone went to the great effort of transcribing an interesting radio interview with Indira Singh talking about Ptech. I really need to read this over carefully one of these days!

A good example of Republican family values.

A must read post by Xymphora on the deep politics of US-Iranian-Israeli relations.

Clashes between US and British intelliegnce agencies over terror issues. This article has an interesting tidbit about monitoring bin Laden's satellite phone. After the cruise missile attack by Clinton on OBL's camp in 1998, I had always heard that OBL stopped using sattelite phones in general. But this article says "Bin Laden never used that satellite telephone again", implying he used other sattelite phones! Once again, we are misled about exactly how much intelligence agenices know about terrorists. Overall, the article should be taken with some skepticism, I just thought that aspect of the article was interesting.
