The Bush Administration DOJ Sponsored a Mexican Homicidal Maniac as Part of the Drug War

A horrible story that is undoubtedly just the tip of the iceberg regarding the depravities of this administration.

UPDATE: Here is some more of the iceberg-- the treatment of Jose Padilla. Keep in mind, Padilla did not hurt anyone, that his crimes have never been proven in court and that he is a US citizen. There is NO JUSTIFICATION for this inhumane treatment. It is simply evil, what they have done.

There is only one way to end the horrific and inevitable consequences of criminalizing certain drugs and that is not going to happen. Our government and its propaganda machine aka "corporate media" is too far gone.

The Padilla story is very, very bad. Apparently the judge has thrown out almost all of the charges against him since his only crime is being a convert to Islam. I guess they simply "made up" all that stuff about "dirty bombs" just to get the focus off of their own behavior on 9/11. Sick.

On the plus side, and this is meant purely in jest, I guess we can all feel justified as private citizens in holding any 9/11 suspects in similar conditions without evidence and without consulting the courts. Perhaps the "redition" of a few politicians and their families to be tortured in some secret location might remind our elected officials why they're supposed to uphold the Constitution.
I'm sure we could find some small-minded thug like a less scrawny and timid Sword of Truth to serve as a guard. We'd just have to get him a pair of shiny boots. Guys like that will sell out their own countrymen and turn in their own mothers for a pair of shiny boots.

How about it Swordie, you want to volunteer to pour cold water over naked people tied up outside? I understand you'll get a free pair of boots! Maybe someone will even post your picture on the internet!
