Slime Campaign

One sad thing I note (as someone who is not even a Obama supporter) is that it seems clear that Obama, and particularly his supporters, are going to get slimed in this campaign in a very ugly way-- on a level quite unlike what has been seen before.

And yes, I'm talking about subtle and even not so subtle racism, as well as the strong implication that Obama is a strange, foreign presence with ties to terrorists. (Never mind the fact that Bush and the war-mongers are unquestionably terrorists in their own right simply from their prosecution of the Iraq war.)

But be prepared for an ugly ugly election. And if by some chance Obama picks Hillary as his VP, watch out.
