On The New Thermite Paper By the Steven Jones Gang

The latest thermite paper from Steven Jones, et al, is here. Rawstory has a piece on this article here.
It is in “The Open Chemical Physics Journal”, and is titled, “Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe” by Niels H. Harrit, Jeffrey Farrer, Steven E. Jones, Kevin R. Ryan, Frank M. Legge, Daniel Farnsworth, Gregg Roberts, James R. Gourley and Bradley R. Larsen. (Jones and the first author, a Danish chemistry professor, are the ones to whom correspondence is to be sent.)
The usual circular logic of only writing about the thing Jones et al were looking for, and ignoring everything else, persists in this paper. Here I will only point out two things that lay waste to any claims that this paper has any value whatsoever in determining how the WTC was destroyed.
1. There appears to be no chain of custody for all, or nearly all, of the samples of dust analyzed in this paper. The authors state that the samples “were sent” to them. No elaboration is provided. From the article (its third page, or page 9 of that online journal), I count six dust samples were used in their study. Five were somehow sent to various authors. The sixth is said to have been obtained by S Jones from Janette MacKinlay (after she had moved to California), in person and “in the company of several witnesses.” It is good to see that Jones et al appreciate the need for eyewitnesses regarding the veracity of these matters. However this appreciation is only for this one out of the six samples used for this paper. The other five samples are not claimed to be tracked or witnessed throughout their alleged journeys. Because of the lack of a chain of custody, these would be inadmissable in a court of law. E.g., using a hypothetical, what is to have prevented the following possibilities. These samples were either directly sent to the infamous Lawrence Livermore Labs—where they do everything form design WMD that can kill billions of people to remasterminding/altering the Kennedy Assassination audio tapes—where nano-thermite is made, or that they were intercepted along the way by a certain mass murdering regime that wishes to hide the actual nuclear destruction of the WTC, and its China Syndrome Aftermath, and were then doctored by including the authors’ beloved thermite “chips”? Correction: super nano-thermite chips. These could indeed have been made by the LLL and added to at least the five samples.
2. Just as with all the studies done by Gov’t agencies that I have extensively highlighted at these three blogs--

-- these authors apparently did not attempt to gauge the dust particle sizes per se. In particular, no effort appears to have been made to ascertain the crucial, smallest dust particle size. While they note the size of grains within some dust, I do not see where they simply attempted to find the smallest dust particle sizes. E.g., if this data had been obtained and if the smallest dust particle size were say 10 nm size, this would have gone a long way towards proving that nuclear bombs were used. But again this study appears to only examine that which it wanted to find-- thermite or super nano-thermite chips.
For these two reasons, this “new” paper is devoid of any new or valuable information. It was quite predictable, as are the similar ones to come. The Op-plan remains obvious for all who are not blind—hide the nuclear destruction of the WTC and the China Syndrome Aftermath.
