Health Care: Once More with Feeling
I'm tempted to just say that rank-and-file conservatives get what they deserve, if they succumb to ignorance* and idiotic propaganda and ruin meaningful health care/health insurance reform. However, that would screw over lots of decent people who need insurance badly-- people who aren't so ignorant-- which is why this is my fight too. Republican pols, blue dog Democrats-- fuck 'em. And where the fuck is Obama on this anyway? Does he want serious reform or not? Why is it so freaking hard for the Dems to get reasonable, rational media coverage of this?

A large, but unspoken about reason why rich people oppose Gov't provided medical and healthcare is because covering the large and increasing numbers of illegals here,
combined with the growing numbers of
chronically unemployed and underemployed citizens might require
the wealthy to have to pay a few more dollars each year in taxes.
They don't want to have to do that.
