NYTimes Reporter Has Witnessed More Than 300 Texas State Execution

When I saw this story I had a feeling there would be a 33 in it somewhere.

Sure enough:
The state has put 441 inmates to death since 1982, more than the next six states combined. That includes 334 since the start of 1997, a period in which Texas accounted for 41 percent of the national total.

How many murders were there in Texas
during those time periods?

Texas kills people who kill people to
show people that killing people is
wrong.

Here's are the last statements of those who were executed. These
were made just moments before the
inmates went to Jesus.
