9/11 is tops in last 15 years of internet searches. Somewhat gratifying, I must say.
A nice 33 is thrown in there too: "The figures also reveal that the number of websites has reached an estimated 200 million from just 18,000 in 1995, with the number of users increasing from 10 million globally, or less than 0.33% of the world’s population..."
Note, when a 33 is used in such an awkward manner, or obscure context, you can be sure it was put there on purpose.

The September 11 terrorist attacks, cloning and the Iraq war top a list of online news searches in the last 15 years, a new study shows.
the last 15 years?
hmmm. cloning not withstanding, 9/11 was 9 years ago and the iraq "war" started 7 years ago.
were people really internet searching about terrorism and iraq "war" 15 years ago?
very doubtful.
also, how long have we had high-speed internet capable of actually viewing anything worthwhile? not for more than 5 years or so.
certainly very few people without high-speed internet connection can comprehend the TV fakery that was 9/11.
May be it means that the 9/11 searches were compressed into recent years but they tallied up everything for 15 years. Hard to guess how that could be done but magic statistics do appear all the time.
