US in Afghanistan Longer Than Vietnam

Over eight and half years now, a sickening waste of life and national resources.

The USSR was in Afghanistan about ten years, and when they finally left, the USSR fell apart. I'd say we're on a good pace for that now.

I don't really expect any different from the PTB and the murderous elite, but I don't see how so many politicians and their constituents can continue to be so blind to (and/or in denial of) this catastrophe.
