New Hypothesis: The Apollo Moon Missions Were About Discrediting and Distracting from UFOs

I was listening to an interview with an older UFO researcher, and he was talking about how in the 1950s and 1960s, UFO stories were very popular in the media. There were a large number of legitimate sightings and they were openly discussed in the news.  Then in the late 60's, UFOs were treated differently by the media, and it became a kooky subject, where if anyone talked about UFOs, there was something wrong with them.  Part of this was the CIA of course, who definitely were in charge of covering up UFO truth. But there were so many big articles about UFOs in the media in recent years, that it was hard to completely discredit all of them

Of course JFK has first proposed the moon missions, and it's quite possible he did this in order to get at the ultimate truth of the aliens based on the moon, who were involved in controlling matters on earth, matters such as the planetary quarantine.

But of course JFK was killed by a conspiracy, and it may well have been done to keep him quiet about UFO's and aliens, since shortly before his death he had mentioned disclosure.

I propose the Apollo moon missions were repurposed, to actually cover up the truth of the moon and aliens and the evil powers that be (PTB).

The idea is that by sending a scientifically-based spaceship to the moon as part of a massive engineering enterprise, and "finding nothing there" regarding aliens (because the moon landings were all fake), provided a massive and effective distraction away from all those "silly, "wacky" UFOs stories that the government had long been denying had any substance. The government had been desperately trying to coverup UFOs for years, and UFOs were the biggest national security secret to them. So effectively, the fake Apollo moon missions were basically a massive cover-up for UFO's.

A related concept is that the secret government has gone to extreme lengths to close down any official disclosure of UFOs. As I mentioned above, JFK was killed in part because he was going to disclose UFOs. There's some evidence that Nixon actually was going to disclose UFOs (and he of course was forced out of office by Watergate). Most recently, Hillary Clinton was openly discussing UFO disclosure if she was elected. She was ahead in all the polls, and was projected to win by everybody, against a very bizarre extremist candidate, but she lost in a close upset. Was this done by the PTB to maintain the UFO cover-up?
