Demolition of the World Trade Center-- Expert Opinion
In case someone out there thinks that only people who have no background in engineering think that the collapses of WTC 1, 2 and 7 on 9/11 were due to controlled demolition, I have been in correspondence recently with a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at a major university. This person is absolutely convinced that WTC 1, 2 and 7 on 9/11 were brought down by controlled demolition.
One of the keys to knowing that it was controlled demolition was the speed at which the towers fell. Near free fall is a term often used to describe the collapse of the twin towers (free-fall would be a little under ten-seconds, and the collapses each happened in about this time, perhaps two or three seconds longer depending on when you count the start and finish). The fact is, by a progressive pancake collapse-type scenario, the buildings can't have come down that fast. This idea is explained more in this post here.
The main point here is that even engineers are starting to think the towers were brought down by demoliiton.
We already have airline pilots debunking the idea that terrorists flew the planes, so slowly but surely, the official 9/11 story is collapsing itself.

Yeah well, if it is "major university" and this professor is so "sure" why don't you ( or he/she) use their name and tell us about it themselves????
Even if someone is sure, there are bound to be repercussions for going public-- scientists require peer-review for grant support, and the idea of controlled demolition bringing down the WTC towers is still highly politically incorrect/unpopular. Moreover, this person desires anonymity for now, and I have to respect that. I do this blog anonymously also because I have a professional reputation that I need to guard as well as general privacy concerns.

Translated "I don't have the balls to associate my name with these cockamamie, insane and idiotic accusations that make absolutely no sense whatsoever."
Seriously.
