Torture Program Originated in Same CIA Department as MKULTRA
Surprise, surprise, surprise...
Also, an odd tidbit here about how the Senate report seems to indicate that torture "worked" when the Pakistanis did it. Given how murky all these leads are, about who is who in al-CIA-duh and who did what and who gave such and such information about some doofus terrorist to the CIA, it's quite easy to imagine that the Pakistanis took a key role in actually manufacturing the official al Qaeda narrative for who did 9/11. That would give the CIA an extra layer of cover in hiding their role in running al-CIA-duh. For that matter, it seems easy enough to imagine that the CIA could make up any info they wanted about al Qaeda, and just say they got it from the Pakistanis. It's doubtful indeed that there is any degree of meaningful oversight over these intel fucks.
