Sadly, anything that can be used to help people-- be it a type of food, a drug or treatment, an invention, a technology, a policy, a form of entertainment (even music) -- can also be used for harmful and/or destructive purposes.

The PTB seem to have mastered taking good things, and turning them into destructive things.
