Today's 33

AOL News link:

The article itself says 378 dead. So yeah, definitely more than 330.

Now that is weird.

"More than 330 die in Cambodian festival stampede" -

Never seen someone write "more than 330" for a number in the hundreds. Who rounds to _30?! Normal people would have said "more than 300" or "more than 350."

I've never been one to give too much weight to these number clues, but kinda hard to outright dismiss with evidence like this.

Interesting when you google "330":

- Va. commuters derailed for hours
"It all started when Train 328 broke down between the Manassas Park and Burke Centre stations around 8 a.m. The following train, No. 330, was coupled to it and its engine began hauling both trains roughly 45 minutes later, according to VRE."

- California Offers 30-Year Build America Bonds at 330-Basis-Point Spread

- Air China Signs Agreement To Buy 10 Airbus 330 And 10 Airbus 350 Aircrafts

- How Snakes Can "Fly"
"It's been known for a while that certain snake species can "fly," gliding as far as 330 feet (100 meters) from branch to branch—but how?"

- Maricopa County Aims To Get 330 Kids Adopted

- $2 million DOL grant to assist laid-off East Coast industrial workers
"The US Department of Labor on November 23 announced a $2073235 grant to assist about 330 workers who reside in Massachusetts affected by layoffs"

- Marines train Afghan soldiers to operate independently
"... with Combat Logistics Battalion 3, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), have been mentoring approximately 330 soldiers with the Afghan National Army."

- Scott County bridge reopens after repairs
"By the end of the year, it is estimated 325 to 330 bridges will be opened to traffic statewide. In 2011, 330 bridge projects are scheduled statewide"

I guess the number "330" is a very popular number. LoL

Right, 330 seems to be a popular motif.
