Cowardice Is a Cover Story for Democratic Corruption

Whereas in the past 7 years, and particularly since 9/11, the Republicans have only barely hid their fascist tendencies, the Democrats have tended to make fairly reasonable and nuanced arguments about various issues relating to terrorism and war. The problem of course is that typically the Democrats end up essentially capitulating to whatever thuggish threats emanate from the White House. The more-or-less benign view of this behaviour is that the Democrats are just SCARED of being called names by the Republicans ("soft on terrorsim", etc)-- essentially, that they are cowards that do not stand up to key principles because they are afraid of losing voters. Implicit in this view is that the Democrats are more or less innocent naifs--good people who are bullied into doing things they don't want to happen. Indeed, it is all too easy for me to call the Democrats cowards for not standing up to Bush.

The darker view of all this however, is that the Democrats are just as corrupt and complicit in all the Washington DC bullshit as the Republicans. As a recovering Democrat, this is something I periodically forget. And I keep wanting to give Democrats the benefit of the doubt.

But really, all I need to do is to look at the Democrats' embrace of the official 9/11 story to know that they are deeply corrupt-- even the best of them.

It doesn't matter what they think or say privately. If they haven't spoken out publicly on the 9/11 bullshit, then they are part of the problem. It doesn't take such careful study to see the holes in the official story. And the deeper one looks, the more obvious it gets.

I think the term False Opposition Democrats sums them up quite well. They are playing a role, and pathetically hiding behind "cowardice" to cover their corruption.

dems and reps are the left and right pockets of the same pair of pants - one holds the checkbook and the other holds the wallet.
they are two wings of the same bird.

That's right, a one system party designed to give people the illusion that they are in control but are not. Vote Republicrat... NOT! Divide and conquer, one of the oldest strategies in the world. Oh, and I believe we are getting another Clinton in office, mark my words.
