Dave McGowan Is Very Sick

 Sad news about one of my favorite conspiracy writers:

Craig McKee: We received some terrible news yesterday that Dave McGowan, one of the most important and engaging researchers in the “conspiracy” field, is seriously ill. He has a very aggressive and advanced form of cancer – affecting his lungs, liver, and bones – and has a very small chance of recovery.
I thought it appropriate to honor Dave and his continuing contribution to truth seeking and to let people know just how valuable a writer he is, by reprinting a piece below that he wrote just a day after 9/11. He knew right away that the official story we were being fed about the so-called “terrorist attacks” did not add up. It doesn’t have all the answers, but it makes an excellent start on asking the right questions.
The first thing I read from McGowan was his series on the Apollo Moon missions called “Wagging the Moondoggie.” This amazing 14-part series is what finally convinced me that the Moon landings never took place. What struck me was not only his insight but his wit. Very dry, which is the best kind.
In addition to what became a whole series on 9/11, I was also blown away by series on the Boston Marathon “bombing” and dark side of the music scene in Laurel Canyon in the 1960s (which became a book). Other books he has written include Programmed to Kill, Understanding the F-Word: American Fascism and the Politics of Illusion, and Derailing Democracy: The America the Media Don’t Want You to See.

I know he is a little bit older than me, so he is probably in his mid-50s... you gotta wonder what the evil PTB might have done...

Weirdest story I've seen in a  while:

This week, the three people were charged with impersonating police officers. They are David Henry, who told Johnson he was the police chief, Tonette Hayes and Brandon Kiel, an aide to state Atty. Gen. Kamala Harris. It turns out Henry, Hayes and Kiel had allegedly introduced themselves to police agencies across the state, though it is unclear why. 

A website claiming to represent their force cites connections to the Knights Templars that they say go back 3,000 years. The site also said that the department had jurisdiction in 33 states and Mexico. “When asked what is the difference between the Masonic Fraternal Police Department and other police departments, the answer is simple for us. We were here first!” the website said.

Another terrible trend of capitalism:

Several industries have become notorious for the millions they spend on influencing legislation and getting friendly candidates into office: Big Oil, Big Pharma and the gun lobby among them. But one has managed to quickly build influence with comparatively little scrutiny: Private prisons. 

The two largest for-profit prison companies in the United States – GEO and Corrections Corporation of America – and their associates have funneled more than $10 million to candidates since 1989 and have spent nearly $25 million on lobbying efforts. Meanwhile, these private companies have seen their revenue and market share soar. 

They now rake in a combined $3.3 billion in annual revenue and the private federal prison population more than doubled between 2000 and 2010, according to a report by the Justice Policy Institute. Private companies house nearly half of the nation’s immigrant detainees, compared to about 25 percent a decade ago, a Huffington Post report found. In total, there are now about 130 private prisons in the country with about 157,000 beds.  

And in a piece on outsourcing of jobs, we find that Nike employs 333,000 people in Vietnam.

Again, conservatives are the dumbest fucking conspiracy theorists in the world. This drill is not going to be an excuse for Obama to install martial law in Texas.

That being said, the drill is creepy and the problems I have with it are:
1) the massive exercise is a sign of how over-bloated our military is
2) it's creepy that the PTB are running drills like this
3) the secret government is completely terrible and unaccountable

And you just KNOW that when no martial law happens, Alex Jones and their ilk will say it is because all the attention they brought to the drill, stopped Obama's plans. Riight.

Also, just after I posted this, I saw someone already made very similar remarks about Jade Helm in the comments section. Great minds and all that.

Yes, there are some incredibly stupid 9/11 truthers.

It's something I've grappled with a lot here-- it's something that has frustrated me a lot because it is so distracting and gives 9/11 truth a bad name. For instance, shit like DEW or vicsims. The idea of these things isn't bad, but wholeheartedly buying either of these and then being fanatical about it as the answer is just so very wrong.

Now, obviously I promote some far out ideas here-- nukes and no planes, specifically. But my point has always been that I think these are the best explanations for what happened on 9/11, and I admit there is some chance I could be wrong.

It's not limited to 9/11 either-- you see it with Sandy Hook or the Boston Bombing, etc.

There's just a huge gullibility problem for many people-- once they've accepted any conspiracy, they will accept anything that anyone posts about it as fact, even if it contradicts something they've read or seen before. And there are endless sites and Youtube videos spouting some conspiracy "fact" without offering anything more than their opinion, really.  As long as you can sound authoritative, someone will buy it, without any skepticism, it appears.  Now granted, some people are just dumb or easily misled or just have never been trained in critical thinking. Sometimes, people are just busy and just go with it, without taking the time to really deal with it.  Sometimes things just appeal too much to someone's biases.


But how to explain someone like Jim Fetzer or Judy Wood? They are supposed to be trained in science and critical thinking, and they can be so gullible. Wood is so off the rails she has to be either controlled completely, or mentally unbalanced.  On the other hand, Fetzer is good on some issues like nukes and no planes, but shows amazing lack of critical thinking at other times. In some ways, he is worse than Wood, because is Wood is simply unreliable, whereas Fetzer is sort of reliable but than screws you over with some crap he just found.

Peace Is and Always Was the Answer
