And Now For Something Completely Different

A really interesting interview with a physicist who studies the concept of relativistic space travel, Kevin Knuth.

He calculates that humans could fairly easily travel to other stars within their lifetime, because of the way time is distorted by extremely high speed. The real problem is time stays normal for people left behind on earth. The ramifications of this idea are fascinating and indicate there could be migratory space traveling cultures in the galaxy.

This idea could possibly explain certain things about UFOs--  how waves of different types of UFOs have been reported to visit us over the years. Also fun to speculate that earth was colonized by such travelers....

"Game of Thrones" Likens Dragons to Nuclear Weapons and a Quarantine Breakout

The penultimate show of the "Game of Thrones" series really emphasized that a dragon is a weapon of mass destruction, and they showed how basically one dragon could "nuke" a whole city with its fire breath.

Dragons in fact are a major symbol in conspiracy and mythology and can represent evil, power, secret alien lizard rulers and nuclear weapons. This was a big thing Anonymous Physicist (AP) would talk about.

AP also talked about the quarantine of the planet that keeps the evil PTB aliens here. I don't know how real it is, but that hypothesis does have some explanatory power.

The scary part of the quarantine hypothesis is that the evil aliens will stage some sort of quarantine breakout event, where they use nukes to break a hole in the quarantine barrier and escape through that. In the process, a lot of humans would die.

"The Simpsons" movie back in 2007, actually seemed to be an allegory for the quarantine that AP hypothesized.

The ending of "Game of Thrones" series seemed to actually show a quarantine "breakout":

1) the dragons are the trapped alien evil PTB

2) Daenarys Targaryon and the other rulers of Westeros were the quarantiners keeping the dragons in check

3) As noted above, in the penultimate show, after Daenarys Targaryon lost control, the dragon nuked a city full of humans, the start of the breakout attempt

4) The killing of Daenarys Targaryon by Jon Snow led to the escape of the dragon.

It's not a perfect analogy, but it's interesting to think about how much the writers of "Game of Thrones" knew about AP's "Ultimate Truths". Certainly the Simpsons writers seemed to have a good understanding of them...

Revving Up for War with Iran

The State Department ordered several hundred U.S. diplomatic personnel to leave Iraq on Wednesday, citing heightened threats from neighboring Iran amid a buildup of U.S. military forces in the volatile region and growing concerns of a potential conflict with Tehran.
The uptick in tensions came nearly two weeks after the White House warned of what it described as potential targeting of U.S. forces, allies and interests by Iranian security forces or their proxies. It provided no details and some military allies and senior members of Congress questioned the administration’s assessments.
So far this month, the Pentagon has sent the Abraham Lincoln carrier task force and Air Force B-52 bombers to the region and dusted off contingency war plans, the Treasury Department has increased sanctions on Iran’s economy, and Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo made a sudden trip to Baghdad to consult with U.S. and Iraqi officials.
Few allies embraced the aggressive U.S. moves and several warned of an accidental clash in Iraq, where U.S. military forces and Iranian-backed militias operate in close proximity, or in the Persian Gulf, where Iranian and U.S. ships sometimes sail at close quarters.

Punishing sanctions on Iran are raising tensions too:
The sanctions imposed late last year by Trump after he withdrew from the landmark nuclear deal aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions are far more draconian than those that helped bring Iran to the negotiating table under the Obama administration, and they are having a profound effect on the Iranian economy, analysts say.
Trump administration officials claim they have wiped $10 billion from Iranian revenue since November, inflicting widespread misery on the lives of many poor Iranians as well as the government’s own spending. The tensions between Washington and Tehran spiked after further restrictions went into effect on May 2, eliminating waivers from eight countries that had previously been allowed to continue importing Iranian oil with the goal, U.S. officials say, of reducing Iranian oil exports to “zero.”
Many in the region say the ferocity of the sanctions offers an incentive to Tehran to push back against Washington, crossing a “red line” that will give Iran little choice but to retaliate, according to Kamal Wazne, a Beirut-based political analyst who is sympathetic to the Iranian and Hezbollah point of view.
“The Iranians are used to sanctions. But this level of sanctions will generate a different response. The Iranians will not be quiet about it,” he said. “They are form of war more detrimental than actual war … It’s the slow death of a country, the government and its people.”
Though it is too early to confirm that Iran was responsible for the sabotage attack on four oil tankers near the Persian Gulf last week, as U.S. officials claim, “Iran has a major incentive to put the squeeze also on the U.S. economy by making the price of oil jump,” he said. “The pain will be reciprocated.”
The austerity measures adopted by Hezbollah offer one indication of the breadth of their impact, not only on Iran’s own economy but on its capacity to support its regional proxies.

Elizabeth Warren Gets It on the Military Industrial Complex

The coziness between defense lobbyists, Congress, and the Pentagon tilts countless decisions, big and small, away from legitimate national security interests and toward the desires of giant corporations that thrive off taxpayer dollars.
These giant contractors have deployed an extremely profitable strategy: First, recruit armies of lobbyists from former Pentagon officials and congressional staffers. Then, get those former officials to use their relationships, access, and influence to secure lucrative contracts.
It’s time to cut our bloated defense budget.
And that influence is a big part of how we ended up with a Pentagon budget that'll cost more this year than we spend on education, medical research, housing, disaster relief—everything else in the discretionary budget put together.
It’s wrong, wasteful, and bad for our national security.
We have to call this what it is: corruption—plain and simple. I’ve already introduced a sweeping anti-corruption bill.
Today, I introduced the Department of Defense Ethics and Anti-Corruption Act.
It’s Time to Reduce Corporate Influence at the Pentagon
My plan will:
—Shut the revolving door between giant contractors and the Pentagon
—Ban DoD officials from owning contractor stock
—Limit foreign government hiring of American national security officials
—Expose defense contractor lobbying

And the USA is not part of it, thanks to the bloated kakistocrat moron-in-chief.
